Downtown McDonough will host its 35th annual Geranium Festival on May 19 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. followed by an evening concert.
The festival will host exhibitors from all over the Southeast who will be selling homemade crafts. Food vendors will also offer festival goers a wide selection of options. Admission and parking are free.
Following the festival, the Geranium Jam outdoor concert in Alexander Park will be headlined by the band, Drivin' N Cryin'.
Live music will also be performed by the country band Highway 55 and the R&B and Motown band Bogey & the Viceroy.
"There will be something for everyone," said Jennifer Price, McDonough Hospitality and Tourism Board Director.
Concert goers can purchase VIP tables or bring their own blankets and chairs to sit on the lawn.
Food and beverages will be available for purchase at the concert. Concert goers are also encouraged to bring their own picnics and coolers.
"The excitement the new outdoor concert is receiving so far is great," said Price. "We are already selling tickets and VIP tables - and that excites us."
Tickets for the concert are on sale now and can be purchased at the McDonough Welcome Center on the square.
