The Georgia Court of Appeals has upheld a ruling two groups were unable to show they would be harmed in a concrete way if a Confederate memorial statue was removed from the Covington square.

The appeals court said Superior Court Judge John Ott ruled correctly that Covington resident Tiffany Humphries and the Sons of Confederate Veterans did not prove their case that they would be harmed by the removal of the century old memorial.
