Two people were arrested Monday afternoon after an argument turned physical on Green Street.
Officers from the Covington Police Department were called to the home and when they arrived they saw a man, later identified as 34-year-old Timothy Stovall, jumping up and down in the yard, pointing to the front porch where 19-year-old Antorneon Dickerson stood holding a large butcher knife, according to reports.
When ordered to drop the knife she did and following the officers directions. Dickerson, who officers say is from Lithonia, was handcuffed and placed into a patrol car while the investigation began.
According to reports, Stovall said Dickerson punched him in the face and then grabbed a knife and chased him from the house. Officers did note that Stovall had a red cut on his left cheek and slight swelling.
Dickerson's cousin allegedly told officers that Stovall was telling him to "get his cousin" and that Stovall then grabbed her and pushed her from his bedroom door into the kitchen and from there, shoved her against the kitchen counter, which is when she reacted by punching him in the face, then grabbing a knife and pointing it at Stovall.
Dickerson reportedly told officers she grabbed a knife because Stovall told her "he would be back."
Both were arrested, Dickerson charged with simple assault and battery and Stovall with simple battery.
