During the grand opening week of the Jersey Mike’s Subs shop on Industrial Blvd. patrons who brought in a YMCA donation coupon received a sub sandwich for a $1 donation.

The promotion not only brought a flood of people into the sub shop, but also a big donation to the Covington Family Y.

The Covington sub shop and its owner Chris Brown helped raise $1,280 from patron contributions. Jersey Mike’s Subs matched that contribution, bringing the total monetary contribution that store manager Jessica Danforth presented to Covington Y Director, Louly Hay-Kapp to $2,560.
