AUSTELL, Ga. (AP) — Authorities say a woman was killed and some children were injured when a neighborhood dispute ended in gunshots.

Police said the gunfire happened around 8:40 p.m. Monday in Austell, just west of Atlanta.

Cobb County police Sgt. Dana Pierce said one woman was shot to death and another woman was injured. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports (http://bit.ly/1bnWU0m) that several children were wounded. They were either shot or hit by debris.

The injured people were transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Pierce said two armed men fled the scene and remained at large.

The names of the people involved have not been released, and few other details were available early Tuesday.
