WOODSTOCK, Ga. (AP) — Administrators at a high school north of Atlanta say two students are charged with public indecency after classmates say they performed a sex act in the cafeteria.

WSB-TV reports  that the act was videotaped by other students at Etowah High School, then shared on social media.

The Cherokee County school system said in a statement that the incident happened Oct. 10, and that "appropriate school discipline" will also occur. School officials say the public indecency charge is a misdemeanor.

Students tell WSB that teachers are in the cafeteria during lunch, but the teens hid what was going on. Student Taylor Powell said books and book bags were stacked up around them.

The school system didn't release details on the students involved. WSB reports that both are ninth-graders.
