ATLANTA (AP) — The FBI is asking for the public's help in identifying those responsible for a series of armed robberies at Atlanta-area Wal-Marts.
In a statement, FBI Special Agent Stephen Emmett says since May, there have been eight armed robberies of Wal-Marts in the Atlanta area that investigators believe are related.
In each robbery, a suspect wearing a surgical mask will enter the store, brandish a firearm and rob the nearest cashier. In at least two of the robberies, a woman poses as a customer in the store and serves as a lookout.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at (404) 577-8477. There is a reward.
