ATLANTA (AP) — A van used to transport prisoners overturned on an Atlanta freeway, jamming traffic at the start of the rush hour.
Authorities say the crash involving the Fulton County prisoner transport van shut down most of the northbound lanes of Interstate 75 around 6:30 a.m. Friday.
WSB-TV reports that an officer and a prisoner were inside the van when it overturned, but their injuries did not appear to be severe.
WXIA-TV reports that the accident happened south of Moores Mill Road, northwest of midtown Atlanta.
