MARIETTA, Ga. (AP) — The Georgia Department of Labor is planning to host a career fair to connect veterans with employers.

Department Commissioner Mark Butler says veterans are invited to attend a Nov. 14 career fair at VFW Post 2681 in Marietta. Organizers say the meeting will feature employers and resource agencies that offer help to veterans, active duty personnel and their spouses.

Officials say representatives from AFLAC, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Delta Airlines, the Federal Bureau of Prisons and the state Department of Corrections, among others, are expected to be at the event.

Organizers say workshops focused on resume writing, interviewing, training and personal branding will also be offered.

Participants are asked to bring military identification and resumes. Organizers say breakfast and lunch will also be served at the event.
