ATLANTA (AP) — Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal says net tax collections in the month of December increased by about $64 million compared to December 2012.
In a statement Thursday, Deal said the state collected $1.75 billion in taxes last month. Deal says the state's year-to-date net tax revenue totaled $9.09 billion in December, which was an increase of $442 million from the same time period in 2012.
Deal says individual income tax collections in December totaled $958 million, up from about $945 million in December 2012.
