Focus as you walk through the day

"How great are his signs, how mighty his wonders!" (Daniel 4:3) These words spoken by a king of the King of kings and Lord of lords are to be the focus of every Christian in today’s world.

Daniel’s book ends with him standing where he started and being advised of what we see play out every day: The bad people are worse and the good people are getting better as we move closer and closer to the end of time.

The questions are raised, "When will all this happen, and what will be their outcome?" And an answer comes back to Daniel, as it does for us, "It is fine to know about and look forward to the future, but keep your focus on living faithful in the present."

If we have learned anything from Daniel, it is the best position to take about future events and current conditions is being on our knees before God, seeking His wisdom, counsel and power to persevere as faithful witnesses for Him. Spend quality time with God, seek a complete dependence upon Him and discover how great are His signs and wonderful His works! Maybe you are like Daniel, and today you are standing before God wondering what is to become of all of this?

Listen as He gives us a final word to go on today; "As for you, go your way till the end. You will rest, and then at the end of the days you will rise to receive your allotted inheritance." (Daniel 12:13) Let’s go face the day, walking through it with God as our guide.
