Eastridge Community Church will hold its first service in its new Jackson Lake Campus building at 14200 Highway 36 Feb. 12 at 10:45 a.m. The campus currently meets at Alcovy High School on Sunday mornings.

The church offers a contemporary service with solid Biblical teaching for adults and engaging programs for children on Sunday mornings, as well as small groups throughout the week.

“We couldn’t be more excited about this new building because it gives us a 24/7 presence in the community,” Gary Thompson, campus pastor, said. “Having a permanent facility will help us provide hope and life change through Jesus Christ to the south side of Newton County and the surrounding area.”

Eastridge Community Church is one church in two locations. It began in 1989 and moved to its current Covington Campus location at 863 Highway 142 in Covington in 1999. The Jackson Lake Campus kicked off at Alcovy High School in 2013 and broke ground on the new building last summer.

The ribbon cutting for the building is scheduled for Feb. 9 at 11 a.m.
