Burnham: Remember to thank God
Placeholder Image

Has God given you his best and you missed it?

Well, if you have not acknowledged what and who God has given you in the Holy Spirit, this may be true.

This is what Jesus was telling the disciples when he said:

"Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send him to you."

(John 16:7)

Jesus said it is to your advantage, (i.e.) I am giving you my best, take it, it’s yours: the Holy Spirit, who helps us combine spiritual thought with spiritual words and actions.

The Holy Spirit, who helps cultivate the very mind of Christ in us (1 Corinthians 2:16).

The Holy Spirit is the helper, who helps us search the truth of God’s word, teaches us the word, reveals God’s wisdom, and is the power behind God’s work.

The Holy Spirit, who brings strength to our weakness, divine insight to our lack of understanding and power to our labors.

Have you missed it? God gave us his best in the person of the Holy Spirit.

The world cannot know him, but you know him, for he dwells in you every day.

Have you thanked God for giving you his best today?
