Welcome back to another edition of The Minute. There’s a lot of great music this week.

Today, Sunday March 5th, local super group Chris, Jon & Scott will be playing the Sunday afternoon show at Porterdale Bar & Grill. Music starts up at 3 p.m.

Three great shows on Thursday:

Harley Dills live at The Listening Room at Irish Bred, March 9, 8 p.m.: Sanctified Revival front man returns upstairs for an acoustic set. With his super strong vocal and guitar work and great song selection, you'll really enjoy this one.

Justin Huff live at Your Pie, March 9, 7 p.m.: This Country performer from Morgan County has basically started up a residency at this great pizza joint the last several months. An authentic Country sound, Justin is really talented.

Dane Robinson live at Mystic Grill, March 9, 7 p.m.: This young musician out of Athens is supposed to be quite good.

Another Big Friday:

Chris, Jon & Scott at The Speakeasy, March 10, Porterdale, 9 p.m.: The tremendous trio heads back to the lovely mill village for an evening performance at this super cool spot. Something magical seems to happen when these guys play here. Jon's guitar, Scott's bass, and Christon's singing and percussion mixed with their eclectic songbook will blow you away.

High Charity at Amici, March 10, 7:30 p.m.: This impressive duo returns to College Avenue in what promises to be a great show. Influenced by Zeppelin, 311 and Tool, these guys bring a sensibility and energy of a full-band rock show to their acoustic performances.

Savannah Webb and Josh Conner live at The Listening Room at Irish Bred Pub, March 10, 8 p.m.: This one has been a long time coming. Savannah Webb, a previous Music Minute featured artist and Greensboro native, is finally bringing her amazing voice to this upstairs music hall. Bluesy with Rock and Country influences and with superb range, she will blow you away! And she'll be joined by her usual guitar player, Josh Conner, who will likewise impress with his six string skills.

Rampage live at Five O'Clock, March 10, 9 p.m.: These guys are pretty notorious around these parts as one of the best bar bands you'll ever likely see. In fact, a lot of folks think they're right up there with The Peeled Onions, a Minute fave. Well, that makes sense. Mark Dobson, drummer and singer extraordinaire, plays with both groups. The other members of Rampage are equally impressive, especially their lead singer who seems to be the epitome of a Rock frontman. This should be a lot of fun.

Saturday Sounds:

On March 11, April Allen and Southern Roots will be performing at The Listening Room, Music starts at 8 p.m.: April is an incredible singer and has been performing with local group Drivetime for the last several years. Joining her in this band is her fellow DriveTime member, Johnny Hamby, who is also a part of the aforementioned Peeled Onions. The other members of Southern Roots are all excellent and their mix of Country and Southern Rock is sure to impress!

The Full House Band live at Five O'Clock, March 11, 9 p.m.: This Fayette County group has a reputation as one of the best party bands around. With a full sound that includes keyboards, these guys absolutely run the gambit. Songs will range from "Can't Stop the Feeling" and "Uptown Funk" to "Two Tickets to Paradise" and "Brick House." Sounds good!

Also on Saturday, Arch Angel, a well-known Atlanta group, will be playing at Lahrceny Tavern in Porterdale. The music is set to start at 9 p.m. These guys do a fun mix of 70's, 80's & 90's tunes with great instrumentation and lots of vocal harmonies. I know Amberly and the rest of the Tavern gang are excited about having them again.

Enjoy it and we'll see you next time.
