Welcome, this is the segment where I will be sharing with you all my fun experiences here in Newton County and giving you the scoop so you can join, too.

This week, I stopped in at Johnny's Pizza. Located on the south side of Covington in a nice little plaza, they served me up a pizza slice as big as my head. Prices were reasonable, staff was great, and the music they play is awesome. Reminds me of the 90’s. Y'all need to check it out.

Afterwards, I headed over to Turner Lake Park to walk off this stomach full of pizza. Turner Lake is located right off the roundabout at Clark Street and Turner Lake Road. This awesome recreational center offers more than just softball fields and a basketball gym. They also have a playground for the kids, a huge pavilion, and I got to experience the wonderful trails they provide that surround the gorgeous lake.
