COVINGTON, Ga. - Jeremiah Bame, RN, has been named chief nursing officer of Piedmont Newton Hospital. Bame brings more than 10 years of experience to the role, all of which has been earned at Piedmont Healthcare.

“We’re pleased to welcome Jeremiah. He’s an excellent addition to this hospital’s leadership team,” Jim Weadick, CEO of Piedmont Newton, said. “He has a proven record of accomplishment and outstanding performance, as well as a wealth of knowledge and nursing experience.”

Bame comes from Piedmont Newnan Hospital in Newnan, Ga., where he has served as director of inpatient services since February 2016. Under his leadership, Piedmont Newnan’s employee engagement continued to improve while turnover decreased to record lows. The hospital’s quality, safety and service initiatives thrived as well. Prior to becoming director at Piedmont Newnan, Bame served in multiple roles at Piedmont Healthcare.

“I’m excited for the opportunity to be a part of such a dedicated and talented team at Piedmont Newton,” said Bame. “I look forward to working to further expand the highest quality of care to the Newton County community for years to come.”
