COVINGTON, Ga. - Local attorney Michael Geoffroy was named Boys & Girls Clubs of North Central Georgia’s Board Member of the Year during BGCNCG’s Doors to Great Futures Donor, Volunteer and Youth of the Year awards dinner. 

Michael Geoffroy is the board chair for Newton County Boys & Girls Club, which is set to open in January 2019. 

Bob Mackey, CEO and president for BGCNCG, said Geoffroy has been “a driving force behind the development of the Newton County Boys & Girls Club. 

“Geoffroy’s passion for the NCBGC is infectious. In less than six months, Michael has been able to gather a group of dedicated community members to raise the needed funds and awareness for the Newton County Boys & Girls Club. Michael's leadership and involvement speak for itself.”

Michael shared his excitement for the club’s opening and appreciation for the communities embrace for the need of a Newton County Boys & Girls Club. 

“We’ve had such a great year for Newton County Boys & Girls Club,” he said. “We are committed to ensuring our youth in Newton County have a place to become productive citizens while learning life-altering skills for their future. 

Boys & Girls Clubs of North Central Georgia provides club experiences in Madison, Greene, Putnam and Newton Counties.
