 Rev. and Mrs. Tim Walden announce the engagement of their daughter Jessica Walden of Covington to Christopher Bowles of Oxford, son of Mrs. Debbra Gordon.

 The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Scoggins and Mr. and Mrs. Ronny Dodd and Mr. Larry Walden. She is the great-granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charlie T. Osburn, the late Mr. and Mrs. Plennie Bowen, the late Mr. and Mrs. Buford Scoggins, Mrs. Pug Walden and Mrs. Ruth Slay and the late Nat Walden. She is a 2006 graduate of Eastside High School and a 2008 graduate of DeKalb Technical College with a diploma in ophthalmology.

 The future groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Mullin, Mr. and Mrs. Bowles and Mr. Samuel Franklin Gorden. He is the great-grandson of the late Mrs. Florrie Ware and Mrs. Margie Stebbins, the late Mr. and Mrs. Goodman and the late Mr. and Mrs. Austin. He is a 2002 graduate of Newton High School and is employed by the Newton County Sheriff’s Department.

 The couple plan to marry April 25 at 120 Crowell Road in Conyers. Friends and family are invited to attend.
