Jessica Lynn Walden of Covington and Christopher Parker Bowles of Covington were married April 25 at Calvary Community Church, Conyers, with the Rev. Tim Walden, father of the bride, officiating.

The bride is the daughter of the Rev. Tim and Angie Walden of Covington and granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Scoggins and Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Dodd.

The groom is the son of Ms. Debbra Gordon of Oxford and Mr. Parker Bowles of Jacksonville, Fla., and grandson of Anne Stebbins of New York and Franklin Gordon of Griffin.

The bride was given in marriage by her mother, father and brother. She wore a white satin floor-length dress with white veil and white flip flops with silver accents. She wore pearls given her by godparents Kevin and Debbie Adams. During the service a memory candle was lit for all grandparents and close family members no longer with the couple.

Serving as maids of honor were Katie Malcom of Covington and Katie Childress of Covington. Serving as bridesmaids were Katie Thompson of Colorado and Buffie Smith of Covington. Her attendants wore rose petal and watermelon dresses in a style of their choosing and pearls given them by the bride and groom.

Serving as best man was Larry Weatherford of Oxford. Groomsmen were Matt Childress of Oxford, Eric Thompson of Colorado and Timothy Walden of Covington.

Anastasia Cannon of Covington, Shae Cannon of Covington and Miranda Hale of Social Circle served as flower girls wearing white floor-length dresses with pink flowers.

A reception was held outside following the ceremony. Decorations included calla lilies and watermelon and rose petal colors. Music during the ceremony included "When God Made You" and "I’ll Be There." The couple left the reception on a John Deere tractor.

The couple honeymooned in Gatlinburg, Tenn., and now reside in Covington.
