Heather Jean Sinclair of Porterdale and Walter Eric Wood of Porterdale were united in marriage Aug. 6 at St. Augustine Catholic Church. Fr. Roberto Orellana officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Fred and Jean Sinclair of Burbank, Calif., and granddaughter of Robert and Jean Ross and Earl and Ruth Sinclair. The groom is the son of Wayne and Teresa Wood of Monticello and grandson of Oscar and Mary Schmitz and Walter and Maxine Wood.

The bride wore an Alfred Angelo gown, ivory with lace and satin, and was given in marriage by her parents.

Serving as maid of honor was Mary Sinclair of Burbank, the bride's sister. Katy King of Covington, Flannen Taylor of Peachtree City and Tammy Wood of Monticello served as bridesmaids. They wore knee-length black satin gowns. The maid of honor's dress was decorated with ivory ribbon and the bridesmaids' dresses with black ribbon.

Serving as best man was Jeremy Young of Covington. Brock Burch of Covington, John King of Covington and Steve Wilson of Homer, Mich., served as groomsmen.

Jaydin Wood of Monticello served as flower girl and wore an ivory satin dress. Colton Wood of Monticello served as ringbearer and wore a tuxedo.

Music was provided by Steve DeLaigle, cantor, and Sherry Odum, pianist.

The reception was held at Burnt Pine Plantation. The couple honeymooned in Negril, Jamaica and now live in Porterdale.
