Jennifer Lynn Murray and Jason Allan Morris of Washington, D.C. were married Aug. 9 in Montevallo, Ala. with the Rev. Mickey Park officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Dean Murray of Vestavia Hills, Ala. and granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Scott Vinson of Birmingham, Ala. and Mrs. Orvell Elmer Murray and the late Mr. Murray of Oklahoma City, Okla.

The groom is the son of Karen Parker Morris and the late L. Allan Morris of Decatur and grandson of Mrs. Louise Bradley Flythe of Cleveland, Tenn., the late Mr. Lacey Alonza Morris of Rocky Mount, N. C., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Franklin T. Parker of Covington.

The bride was given in marriage by her father, Jerry Dean Murray. Tiffany Murray of Vestavia Hills, Ala. served as maid of honor and Kelly Rouse of Fort Worth, Texas served as matron of honor. Meghan Hughes, Meigan Manis and Stephanie Park served as bridesmaids.

Drew Morris of Decatur served as the best man. Groomsmen were Mark Rouse, Michael Kazin, Andrew Mullen and Brian Roberts.

Jennifer is a summa cum laude graduate of Mercer University in Macon, Ga., with a bachelor's degree in political science, and the Johns Hopkins University Nitze School of Advanced International Studies in Washington, D.C., with a master's degree in international relations and economics. She is a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority and Phi Kappa Phi honorary. Jennifer is employed with the Department of Homeland Security in Washington, D.C.

Jason is a magna cum laude graduate of Mercer University, with a bachelor's degree in business administration, and is currently a third-year law student at Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, D.C. He is a member of Phi Kappa Phi honorary and a staff member of The Tax Lawyer journal.

Following a honeymoon to Hawaii, the couple will reside in Washington, D.C.
