Chelsea Leigh Alexander and Michael Lawrence Wandell, both of Rutledge, were united in marriage Nov. 27 at Crosspointe Church of Oxford with Judge Henry Baker officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Tony and Donna Alexander of Rutledge and granddaughter of Jay and Virginia O’Neal, the late Marlene O’Neal and Vernon and Hazel Alexander. The groom is the son of Jerry and Jo Anne Treadwell of Conyers and the grandson of Alice L. Treadwell and King and Loy J. Whitaker.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. Using an apple red and black color scheme, the church was decorated with white bows, heart-candelabras, and a large candelabra wrapped in greenery.

The bride wore a white sating A-line dress with scalloped sweetheart neckline, beaded lace and a chapel train. The dress had apple red motifs and apple red trim. The two-tier fingertip veil had a satin-bias edge with lace motifs and was trimmed in apple red beads. Her bouquet was red and white roses.

The maid of honor was Kristi Allbritton of Oxford, friend of the bride. The matron of honor was Stephanie Barton of Rutledge, sister of the bride. They wore spaghetti-strapped satin side-ruched ball gowns.

Serving as best man was Kevin Wright of Conyers, best friend of the groom. Groomsmen were Daniel Cobb of Conyers; Brett Barton, brother-in-law of the groom, of Rutledgel; and James Carithers of Covington.

Lexi Alexander, cousin of the bride, of Flowery Branch, served as flower girl. She wore a white sating dress with lace overlay with a satin bow on the front and carried a white satin basket with apple-red flower petals. The ring bearer was Judson Norkunas of Flowery Branch, cousin of the groom. He wore a black tuxedo with an apple red vest.

Doug and Terri Bigger sang "God Bless the Broken Road" by Rascal Flatts. Assisting in the reception, which was held at Crosspointe Church, was Pamela and James Carithers and Carrie and Gary Allbritton.

The couple honeymooned at Lake Sinclair and reside in Rutledge.
