COVINGTON, Ga. - Everyone needs a break from their upbeat, day-to-day activities every now and then, right? On Friday, Sept. 21, Main Street Covington will commemorate PARK-ing Day. PARK-ing Day, which is an annual occurrence, is a day when organizations nationwide transform parking spaces in urban areas into mini parks or parklets.

Main Street Covington is participating in PARK-ing Day to remind the community to get outside and take a break from their busy lives. No matter where you are, you can transform any space into a fun-filled parklet.

Main Street Covington will use a couple of parking spaces in front of the Covington Visitor Information Center on Clark Street and turn them into a parklet. There will be a variety of games for everyone from ages 1 to 99 to enjoy. It will be an all day, drop-in FREE event. The community is invited to stop by and take a break in the Main Street Covington parklet.
