Please allow me this opportunity to thank you for the “Agriculture” page that appeared on page 8B in your 6-26-16 edition of The Covington News.

Since most people take agriculture/food for granted, I think it is important to share the facts regarding the importance of , very few people realize that 50 percent of the land area in Newton County is dedicated to agriculture and forestry.
