The Tesla law - HB 393
Placeholder Image

Auto dealers appear to have won the latest battle against Tesla after a bill that would have allowed the electric car manufacturer to sell in Georgia direct to consumers appears to have failed for a second year.

Unlike other auto makers, Tesla bypasses the independent dealer model. The company, instead, sells online and at its own stores.

The bill was tabled in committee last week.
