Gods grace

Grace, grace, God’s grace, grace that is greater than all our needs — an old hymn with great theology.

When was the last time you really reflected on how sufficient God’s grace is for your every need?

When it comes to our need for forgiveness and eternal salvation, God’s grace is sufficient to meet every man’s need (Eph.2:8,9). When I am weak or tempted and need help, God’s grace is sufficient to meet my needs (Heb. 4:15-16).

When I am surrounded by a hostile world and those who’s thoughts and ways are not like Christ and who would threaten to tear me down, or wear me out, God’s grace is sufficient to build me up and secure me (2 Pe. 3;17-18).

When pride tries to carry me away, God’s grace is sufficient to draw me back to Him (James 4:7,8) And when I am hurting or just plain struggling and I call out to Him, He whispers a reminder to me: “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” (2 Cor 12:9)

Let’s take some time today to reflect on each of the above times in our lives when God has showered us with His grace and thank Him for His unmerited, undeserved, limitless grace!
