What are you “best” at? To what do you give your excellence? Is a mediocre job a good enough job in most of your cases, or do you strive to do your best?

When you play an instrument, build a project, bake something or make a presentation where everyone knows it is “your work,” what is your general attitude towards your job or responsibility?

Knowing that these things are an extension of our selves, and that others will be judging us based on our results — how does that translate into attitude for you?

Do you do just enough to get by, do you or strive to do your best? How about when it comes to serving God, speaking up with the gospel or taking a stand for your Christian values? Do these things get the same effort? Shouldn’t they?

Shouldn’t we sing the loudest, serve with all our hearts and give and do our best (if for nothing else) especially because it is for the Lord? “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men,”

(Col 3:23). Hmmm, God gave His best to us, let’s give Him our best.
