The Order of the Eastern Star is a non-profit, benevolent order and housed in Covington at Golden Fleece Lodge.
Madison Chapter No. 335, Order of the Eastern Star, State of Georgia, held their Installation of Officers on April 13, 2014 for the 2014-15 year. The officers are: Worthy Matron — Debi Goodman, Worthy Patron — Jim Goodman, Associate Matron — Lisa Johnson, Associate Patron — David Johnson, Secretary — Dale Thompson, Treasurer — Phyllis Bolton, Organist — Steve Collins, Chaplain — Carl Stewart, Marshal — Howard Thompson, Associate Conductress – Barbara Ewing, Conductress — Amanda Coker, Adah-Elizabeth Stanley, Martha — Berta Jordon — Electa — Amanda Mealor, Warder-Keith Studdard and Sentinel — Jerry Bolton. The officers serve from installation in April 2014-April 2015.
Members served in Grand Chapter session in Macon June 12-15 as ushers, choir members with Phyllis Bolton being the Grand Choir Director, Lisa Johnson being the special grand page to Phyllis Bolton. Worthy Morton Debi Goodman served as the Special Grand Page to Associate Grand Patron Randall Markham, who was installed on June 15 as the Worthy Grand Patron for the State of Georgia. Grand Chapter officer will serve until the next Grand Chapter Session in June 2015.
Madison Chapter’s chaplain, Carl G. Stewart was elected as the Associated Grand Patron this year and in June of 2015 will be installed as Worthy Grand Patron for the state of Georgia.
