COVINGTON, Ga. - Patients already enrolled in Ambetter from Peach State Health Plan, an insurance product made available through the Affordable Care Act, or area residents looking for expanded 2019 Marketplace health plan options will have increased access to healthcare services, thanks to a recent agreement signed between Piedmont Healthcare and Ambetter.

The agreement, which will become effective on Dec. 1, brings Piedmont Healthcare’s full complement of facilities and physician services, which includes more than 2,000 Piedmont Clinic physicians, into Ambetter from Peach State Health Plan’s network and allows patients to access Piedmont’s complete range of medical services at full plan benefit levels.

“As a result of this agreement, patients and their family members have more choices when deciding where to receive healthcare services and they can rest assured knowing they have access to the high-quality, patient-centered care Piedmont Healthcare is known for providing,” Richard Tanzella, CEO of Piedmont Rockdale Hospital, said.  

In addition to hospital services, there are also Piedmont Clinic physicians’ offices located in Newton, Rockdale and surrounding counties, providing a full array of high-quality medical services to patients enrolled in Ambetter from Peach State Health Plan.
