Mr. and Mrs. James Sorrow of Jersey announce the engagement of their daughter Jamie Lynn Sorrow to Wesley Mark Farmer of Loganville, son of Fay Bryson of Loganville and Timothy Farmer of Covington.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Clara Sorrow and the late S.B. Sorrow of Jersey and the late Mr. and Mrs. L.D. Allen of Covington. She is a graduate of Social Circle High School and Mercer University and is employed by the State of Georgia Department of Human Services.

The future groom is the grandson of Mary Farmer and the lat Thomas Farmer of Monroe and George and Shirley Sanders of Commerce. He is a graduate of Cornerstone Christian Academy and employed by Rowan Cabinetry Company, Oxford.

The couple will wed Oct. 1 at Julia A. Porter United Methodist Church, Porterdale.
