Mr. and Mrs. Doug Norris of McDonough announce the engagement of their daughter Ashley Michelle Norris to Nicholas David Ellis of Covington, son of Mr. and Mrs. David Ellis of Covington.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Ms. Flora Thompson of Morrow, GA, the late Robert A. Johnston of Peachtree City, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Ed Norris of Jonesboro. She is a graduate of Henry County High School

The future groom is the grandson of Mrs. Hazel Parish and the late Otis Parish, Jr. of Covington and Mrs. Betty Ellis and the late Charles Ellis of Covington. He is a graduate of Newton County High School.

The wedding will be Nov. 6 at First Baptist Church of Covington.
