Scott and Tammy Edmondson and Brenda Walker of Covington announce the engagement of their daughter Bethany Edmondson to Laramy Wells, son of Mark and Gwen Wells of Covington.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Major and Lela Edmondson and the late John and Virginia Johnson. She is a graduate of Eastside High School and attends Georgia Southern University.

The future groom is the grandson of the late Elsie Smith, Jeanette Turner, Doris Wells and the late JC Weathers. He is the great-grandson of the late Frances Wander. He is a graduate of Newton High School and Georgia Southern University and is a math teacher at Newton High School.

The wedding will be June 9 at Shiloh United Methodist Church.
