Hal and Becky Dally of Social Circle are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Melissa Leigh, to William Andrew Strickland, son of Kay Strickland and the late Billy Strickland of Oxford. The bride-elect is a 2003 graduate of Social Circle High School and a 2007 graduate of the University of Georgia, with a B.S. in Child and Family Development. She is currently employed as a first grade teacher at Social Circle Primary School, attending UGA to complete the Masters program in Early Childhood Education. Miss Dally is the granddaughter of the late Olon and Myrl Polston of Atlanta and the late Tom and Lucy Dally of Social Circle.

The groom-elect is a 1999 graduate of Newton County High School and is currently enrolled in the criminal justice program at Dekalb Technical College. Mr. Strickland has owned and operated The Yard Company, a lawn maintenance business, for six years. He is the grandson of the late Alvin and Vennie Moore of Covington and the late Albert and Mary Dale Strickland of Oxford.

The wedding is planned for July 3 at First Baptist Church of Social Circle.
