Stephanie Mason of Covington and Steve Hood of Clarksville were united in marriage Oct. 24 at the Doubletree Guest Suites, Charleston, S.C., with the Rev. John Reeser officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Alton and Debra Mason of Covington and Bobby and Debbie Knight of Covington and granddaughter of Lewis and Ann Mason, Jerry and Sara Loyd, Kathrene and the late Loyd Spell, all of Covington. The groom is the son of Ed and Cecilia Hood of Clarkesville and grandson of the late Tolbert and Evelyn Hood of Elberton and the late William and Jane Porterfield of Comer.
The bride was given in marriage by her father Alton Mason and the wedding was outside in the Doubletree Fountained Courtyard. Guests were seated on chiavari mahogany chairs with ivory cushions. The center aisle was decorated with glasses containing ivory candles. Glassed candles were also placed around the bottom of a large water fountain. Blue, green, and ivory hydrangea petals were spread down the aisle and around the water fountain.
The bride wore an ivory Allure Couture gown. It was a one piece A-line dress, strapless, with sweetheart neckline and semi-cathedral train with satin and organza layers. She wore high-heel, strapped ivory sandals and a waist-length ivory veil with satin hem. She carried a bouquet with ivory hydrangea and calla lilies.
The maid of honor was Tamela Bell of Florence, S.C. Bridesmaids were Leslie-Ann Posey of Covington, Lacy Ussery of Savannah and Jennifer Wortham of Marietta.
They wore Jim Hjelm dresses in midnight blue. The gowns were satin, strapless A-line with a gathered chiffon halter neckline and empire bodice. They carried ivory hydrangea and calla lily bouquets.
The best man was Ed Hood of Clarkesville. Groomsmen were Jeremy Johnson of Deland, Fla., John Parramore of Tallahassee, Fla., and Allen Simmons of Milledgeville.
Music was provided by The Signature Players Trio. The reception was held at the Doubletree Charlestonian Ballroom. The couple honeymooned at Couples Resort, Negril, Jamaica, and reside in Gainesville.
