Jessica Chandler Salmon of Covington announces the birth of her son, Cooper Jeffery Salmon, born Aug. 10 at Newton Medical Center. He weighed 7 pounds and 6 ounces and was 20.5 inches long.

Maternal grandparents are Donald and Barbara Smith of Covington. Paternal grandparents are Robin Salmon and the late Jeff Salmon of Covington.
