It may have rained ghouls and goblins on Thursday, but that did not stop Newton County residents from enjoying the festivities on Thursday, Oct. 31.

The Montessori School of Covington kicked-off the festivities by hosting a parade in Clark's Grove that morning. The school's staff and students dressed up as historical figures for the parade.

That night, the Porterdale Police Department hosted their annual trick or treat. More than 13 large containers of candy were given out that night.
