COVINGTON, Ga. - Joining like-minded women from all over the country, the inaugural gathering of 100 Women Who Care Newton County met in September to grant money to two local charities.  

Chapter members nominated worthy Newton County nonprofit organizations and during the meeting members heard about these organizations and then voted on the grants. 

The two recipients from this first meeting’s vote were The Newton County Special Olympics Masters and The Boys and Girls Club of Newton County.  Each group received just over $3,700.
