Zillah Morgan Sosby

Mrs. Zillah Morgan Sosby, 77, of Conyers died Nov. 11. The daughter of the late Hiniard and Ina Bell Pickett, she was born in 1929 in Fulton County. She was known throughout the community as "one of those Pickett girls." Mrs. Sosby was retired from Covington Moulding where she worked as an assembly operator. She enjoyed dancing at the VFW and playing bingo at the nursing home. She especially loved flowers, especially roses, and spending time with family and friends. Mrs. Sosby was preceded in death by parents, three brothers and two sisters.

Surviving are sons and daughters-in-law Dennis H. and Betsy Morgan of Oxford, Joe and Wandra Morgan of Social Circle, Ruben and Diane Morgan of Covington; daughters and sons-in-law Canady and Phillip Freeman of Oxford, Melissa and Donny Wyatt of Covington; grandchildren Shelley Parker, Linn Masters, Brittney Peek, Shannon Daniel, Angela and Chad Dalton, Dusty Morgan, Tracy and Joey Rodgers, Shane and Niki Waddleton, R.J. and Mandy Morgan, Chris and Jenny Morgan, Jennifer and Jessie Thompson, Emily Eryn Wyatt; sisters and brothers-in-law Florie Jenkins, Martha Lunsford, Shirley and Kirk Watkins, Juanita Kitchens, Jacque an Gary Whitten; 16 great-grandchildren; numerous other family and friends.

The family extends special thanks to Dr. Kini and staff and to Rockdale Health Care.

Funeral services were held Nov. 14 in the chapel of Wheeler Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Nickolich officiating. Pallbearers were R.J. Morgan, Chris Morgan, Dusty Morgan, Chad Dalton, Jimmy Bell and Blake Parker. Interment followed at Social Circle City Cemetery. Flowers are accepted, or donations may be made to The Activity Fund at Rockdale Healthcare Center, 1510 Renaissance Dr., Conyers, 30012.
