Ms. Vivian Denise Jones (Ms. Bill) died April 12. The daughter of Ms. Ruby Kate Durden and the late Mr. James A. Jones, she was born in 1960 in Newton County. She joined Bethel Bara Missionary Baptist Church. She graduated from Newton County High School in 1980 and worked in various facilities preparing food for residents. Her last two jobs were with Wal-Mart bakery and the Newton County Detention Center. Ms. Jones took pleasure in spending time with her girls, family and friends. She especially loved cooking for her girls, decorating, joking with family members and playing with her grandsons.

Surviving are daughters Natasha (Tot), Fallon, Whitley, Britley; grandchildren JaBrylon and Ry'Jaden; mother Ms. Ruby Kate Durden; brothers Mr. Edward Manuel, Mr. and Mrs. Nathaniel (Pattie) Jones, Mr. Ronnie Jones, Mr. Calvin Jones, Mr. and Mrs. Phillip (Chandra) Mitchell, Mr. James A. Jones, Mr. Paris L. Jones; sister Miss Lola Creer; uncles Mr. Homer Durden Jr., Minister Bobby Florence, Mr. and Mrs. Willie Lee Durden; aunts Mr. and Mrs. Issac (Addie Lee) Matthews, Mr. and Mrs. Willie (Evelyn) Maddox, Mrs. Bertha Baynes, Ms. Clara (Tee) Shepherd, Ms. Frances Shepherd, Ms. Annette Webb, Deacon and Mrs. James (Vickie) Maddox, Ms. Cassandra Cooksey, Ms. Mary Perry, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene (Lottie) Gaither, Ms. Virginia Moon; Uncle Deacon and Sister Charlie L. Shepherd; great-aunt Ms. Alta L. Johnson; two nieces; five nephews; a host of devoted cousins; the Terrell, Perry, Durden, Shepherd, Guinn families; devoted friend Mr. Andre Peterson; other family members and friends.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. April 18 at Bethel Bara Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Walter Norman officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
