Dear Editor: I just want to write to say thank you to our Covington Police Department. I know they don't get the praise they deserve. One particular officer is Mike Taylor. He has been vigilant in overseeing a location in which the people are gone. It makes me feel safer to know that with an officer like Mike Taylor around I'm OK. He not only flashes his light but gets out and checks the entire location which I know the owner will appreciate on his return. Thank you again for our protection. This letter is also being sent to Stacey Cotton who is over our police department.
