Mr. Robert James (Rob) White died May 4. The son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Tommy (Edna Mae Browning) White, he was born in 1951 in Covington. He joined Bethel Grove Baptist Church at an early age and began his education in the Newton County School system. Mr. White was a free spirit and fun loving person who cared deeply for his family and friends. He was loved by all who knew him, especially his nieces. He was preceded in death by parents, sister Ms. Lisa White and brother Mr. Phillip White.

Surviving are sisters Mrs. Shirley Lynch, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry (Patricia) Wilson; brothers Mr. and Mrs. Tom Larry (Ruth) White, Mr. and Mrs. Charles (Annie Grace) White, Mr. Michael White; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. May 10 at Bethel Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Willie G. Tigner Sr. officiating. Interment followed at the church cemetery.
