For the second time in two weeks, electricity was knocked out for several blocks after a telephone line caught on a passing truck.

The driver was transporting a backhoe on his truck Wednesday when the equipment caught on a low power line at the intersection of Church and Monticello streets.

The telephone line and a utility pole had to be replaced after the accident. At its highest point, the backhoe reached 13 feet 8 inches.
