We salute the city council of Porterdale for their decision in appointing Sandy Fowler to the position of downtown manager. We believe that Fowler will bring the energy and enthusiasm to insure that Porterdale soon becomes a Better hometown Community.

Because of the vision of Walter Davis and his development of the Loft project and the surrounding shops, Porterdale is in the position to have a revival of sorts that will make them a quaint go-to destination to enjoy some ambiance, good food and good cheer.

Porterdale has great potential to become the "Georgetown" of Newton County.

The city leaders of Porterdale along with the other cities of Newton County are showing the wisdom that continues to enhance the livability of our communities.
