Piedmont Academy recently finished its annual summer basketball camp that ended the week of June 16.
The camp was designed to provide young boys and girls with the opportunity to improve their fundamental skills on the court and increase their general knowledge of the game.
It taught the basic fundamentals of shooting, passing, ball-handling, rebounding and defending to elementary students in kindergarten through fifth grade.
The camp also welcomed all youth in the appropriate age group, and was not limited to Piedmont students.
Led by coach Kenny Roberts and assisted by varsity basketball players Will Eckerle, Meg Eckerle and Wyley Deleza, the staff met its objectives by helping the young players advance in all skill levels.
The final day of camp, "Fun Friday," was enjoyed by all attendees after competing in a mixture of lightning drills, shooting contests and dribbling races.
