Norman James "Bo" Busbee, 74, of Covington, died Sept. 30. The son of the late Norman James Sr. and Carrie Middlebrooks Busbee, he was born in Fulton County. Mr. Busbee was retired from The Atlanta Journal and also as a surveyor and an EMT. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially attending his grandchildren's events. Mr. Busbee also enjoyed fishing, making candy, playing cards, singing, hummingbirds and watching the Braves and Falcons. He was a humble man who was generous, fun loving and full of life and a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Surviving are wife Marion "Jo" Busbee of Covington; daughters and sons-in-law Norma and Ray Amerson of Covington, Rebecca and Loren Bailey of Monticello; son and daughter-in-law Glenn and Sherryl Busbee of Covington; grandchildren Michelle and Tyson Marrett, Jamey Amerson, Trina and Chris Saltz, Christopher Amerson, Sandi and Chad Smith, Camie and Adam Busbee, Briana and Britton Bailey; three step great-grandchildren; sisters Shirley Sneed, Hazel Stanley, Betty Jean Waties, all of Covington; brothers Thomas Busbee of Mansfield, Cleveland Busbee of Covington.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today, Oct. 3, in the chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, with the Rev. J. Clifton Brown officiating.
