Newton cross country needs volunteers for race

Newton High School is currently looking for teacher volunteers to help with the girls and boys varsity races during the Region 2-AAAAA Cross Country Meet on Saturday at the school.

No previous knowledge or love of running is necessary. The role would more than likely consist of nothing more than standing in as a course monitor at strategic locations to ensure that no runner goes off course.

The time of commitment would be from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., while the meeting place is behind Porterdale Elementary where the start and finish of the race is located.

Volunteers will receive a free T-shirt, including donuts and coffee, as well as the appreciation from the entire Newton coaching staff.

For further information, contact Newton cross country head coach Aaron Robinson at (770) 787-2250 or send e-mail to robinson.aaron@newton.k12.ga.us.
