The Newton American Training League All Stars (ages 5-6) rolled to a perfect 10-0 record last week as they won the Dixie Youth Baseball Sub-District Title in Grayson, as well as the South Gwinnett Invitational in Snellville.

The American All Stars defeated their counterpart from Newton County, topping the Southern Division All Stars, 18-7.

Other wins came against Peachtree Ridge, 15-3; Newton Southern, 19-5; Norcross, 11-0; Duluth, 16-4; and Grayson, 17-6.

In Snellville, the American All Stars - led by head coach Jeremy Webb and assistant coaches Chris Griffin, Curt Hinson and Dee Jay Wilson - won the title with a thrilling 12-11 come-from-behind win over Dacula.

In addition, they won another tough game over Dacula, 13-12, and rolled to an 18-2 victory over the Habersham Diamond Kings, including a 17-9 win over Mountain Park.

The American All Stars include Logan Arwood, Griffin Autry, Buck Barrett, Christian Davis, Chandler Gates, Matthew Griffin, Kobie Hinson, Gunner Jackson, Tate Marks, J.T. Webb, Cory Wilson and Sam Wright.
