NORCROSS - As the Halloween season shifts into gear for 2007, hardcore fright fans are busy weighing their options for chills and thrills. While there's certainly no shortage of events and entertainment options out there, one destination is sure to make the list for all true fear junkies: Netherworld Haunted House.

Now in its eleventh year, Netherworld was recently singled out by industry publication "Hauntworld Magazine" as America's number one haunt based on its otherworldly special effects, painstaking attention to detail and overall ability to terrify.

A multi-attraction venue, Netherworld offers two choices for its visitors this year. Its main haunted house, "Leviathan," forces guests to descend into the unsettling gloom of a subworld crawling with horrifying monstrosities and twisted mutations. And for those with stronger stomachs, "Primal Fear" offers an even darker, bloodier experience for the shriek-happy.

Netherworld currently opens its doors Fridays and Saturdays starting at 7 p.m. The attraction will open nightly at 7 p.m. Oct. 5 through Nov. 3. Tickets are $18 per person for "Leviathan," $25 per person for both "Leviathan" and "Primal Fear."

Netherworld is located at 6624 Dawson Blvd. in Norcross, located just off Jimmy Carter Blvd. in the Georgia Antique and Design Center.

Netherworld's "haunted hotline" can be reached at (404) 608-2484 or visit www.fearworld.com for more information.
