Lee and Pat Nelson of Covington announce the engagement of their daughter Crystal Leigh Nelson-Jenkins to Doug Halstead, son of James and Elizabeth Miller of Covington.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Lanora and Garfield McDaniel. She will graduate from Georgia Career Institute as a Massage Therapy in March.

The future groom is the grandson of Pearl Whitenburg of City Rapids, Iowa. He is employed by Snell Paving Inc.

They will be married April 12 at The Church at Covington. Friends and family are invited.
