Mrs. Harriet Joan "Jo" Redick, 79, of Covington, died July 2 at Heartland Hospice. The daughter of the late Ora G. Leis and Mildred Stelzer Leis, she was born in 1928 in Lima, Ohio. She was preceded in death by husband George Eugene Redick. Mrs. Redick was an avid gardener and enjoyed yard work, loved animals and had a heart for strays. She was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church, Conyers, and loved her church family.

Surviving are sons and daughters-in-law Craig E. and Frances Redick of Oxford, Dennis L. and Cindy Redick of Loganville; grandson Rob Redick; brother Robert Leis.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 5, in the chapel of Wheeler Funeral Home with Pastor R.A. Stucke officiating. Interment will follow in Green meadow Memorial Gardens.
